Responsiveness: iPad/Tablet layout vs mobile phone layout

Hi,

We are using the Be Theme, with the "Interactive" design/layout. We would like to make the iPad/tablet version of our site look like the version on the mobile phone. Currently on the phone, the elements on the homepage stack nicely. However, on the iPad/tablet, they reduce a bit in size , but squeezes everything to where it is hard to read. We would love it if the site would stack on the ipad/tablet the same as the mobile phone.

Any suggestions? The following are screenshots of the tablet vs mobile phone.
