Getting a Fatal Error message when trying to open Theme Options

Hi,

One of my sites has started showing an error when I try and open the Theme Options tab. the error says;

Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0

If I deactivate Yoast SEO then the problem goes away, but I don't want to do that. Thing is I have run Yoast on many different sites and had no isues, its a great plugin. 

Only thing I can think of that has changed recently is upgrade to WP 4.9.1 and Updated theme to 20.7.5. It was all working fine before this as I've only just finished building the site.

I don't have any caching plugins installed anymore as I thought it was linked to Autoptimise, but I removed this and still have the issue.

Can anybody shed any light on whats happening? The error message is very vauge in telling you whats wrong and a search Google has returned few results.

HI,

try to removing your theme completly from your FTP and installing the newest version again. Make sure that the plugin version is also up to date.

Morning!

I have deleted the theme and reinstalled a fresh download from Themeforest in via FTP this and I'm still getting the same error whilst Yoast is active.

Can anyone explain further the reasons to why this particular error is coming up and I might be able to backtrack to when something may have effected it?
