Unmute video background

Hello,

I have a video background for my theme which runs fine but unfortunately it is muted, I would like for it to play the sound.

I have tried editing theme-shortcodes.php and changing muted to 0, but that didn't do the trick.

How can I make the video mp4 background play sound?

Hi,

The file is located in:

betheme/functions/builder/front.php

Look for this line:

echo '<video poster="'. $poster .'" autoplay="true" loop="true" muted="muted">';

What would I put instead of "muted"? I tried "false" "0" and "unmuted" but neither seems to work. Also tried emptying it "".

You need to remove muted="muted" part if you want sound.

Hey there!

This post seems old but I have the same situation.

False, unmute or 0 values do not work.

When I remove muted="muted"  part the video is stuck at the first frame and does not play.

Is there any solution to play mp4 with sounds?

Hi,
the autoplay function is disabled on most of the modern browsers these days. You can only autoplay videos without sound.
This is blocked by the browser and we cannot help you with this issue.
