How to embed a gif?

How can I embed a gif from giphy or gyfcat to act the same way the current .mp4 is on my website?

For some reason the current method I'm using with just adding the mp4 doesn't work on mobile so I'm hoping there is someway I can embed the gif (https://giphy.com/gifs/3oxHQos2UrGww9L5Ze) so it will show on mobile.

Hi,
GIFs are image files not video files, you will not be able to use them in a video item.
