Trying to change font color

I'm trying to build a website with Betheme using a pre-built website  and I need to make some changes, one of them as simple as to change the color of content text, but it's not happening!

I guess Colors>Content>Text/Color is where I have to go and change it, but nothing happens. I even chose red as text color to figure out what exactly this setting does, but I see no change at all on my website. 

Could you please help, as this has become really frustrating...

Hello, I cannot send a link of my website, because it's accessible only through my IP since I'm still building it. Anything else I could do?

Please go to theme options>colors>general and check if you havent selected a one skin style for the theme. If you did then disable it because you will be not able to change any other colors.
