Read More link does not work on posts

Hi,

i used the BLOG item on the URL below. When clicking on 'Lees verder' (Read More) button on post, nothing happens. Can you help me with this?

Sorry but this will not work, the read more function that the wordpress editor offer is not available in our theme.

i don't understand it, on another BeTheme site  i made (see link below) the Read More (Lees Verder) does work: this is also a BeTheme and as far i can see i'm using the same Blog Item....

Please make sure that your main blog page is set up correcty. Settings>reading - posts page should be your blog page.

one question though: now i see all the posts also on the bottom of the page.

This is because you entered those manually to the blog page.
The main blog page in wordpress shoulb be left blank so the posts generate automatically on it.

ok, but i also want some extra info on the blog page. I did this also on https://www.waa.nu/nieuws, the read more button does work on that site.

On www.waa.nu i did not  Settings > reading - posts page 

I also don't understand that if like you say, it is not possible to get the Read More function availaible, there is 'Read More Link: Yes/No' option.

We did not mean this read more option, but nevermind.
You can ofcourse add content to the main blog page, but the posts will generate automatically. So you can add some text at the begenning but you will not get rid of the default blog loading.

That being said: am i right when i say that when i want to add a second news page (where only posts with a specific category being showed) i cannot use the READ MORE function?

The read more option shows always, if it is the main blog page or you are using a blog item from the muffin builder.
