Is this possible

When I click into a portfolio item I want it to look like this, which I can achieve by not using the featured image, but then the images are missing from the main portfolio page and slider. If I create a page to look like the below how can I default this so the customer can easily add new items to their portfoili without having to re-design each time.

Hi,
sorry but each time the client would create a portfolio item he would have to select the style and modify it.

OK, it would be a nice feature to have.
Is there a way to hide the featured image from the top of the portfolio page by default?
I've seen screenshots of an on/off button to disable this but I cant see it in the latest version of the theme.

You cannot disable it in page options, if your using the intro header then it is not possible, if you want to not have any featured image then you would have to choose the builder template and built upon that.
