Developer mode and theme activation

Good morning, thanks in advance for your help.

I would like to make a restyling of my website, but I would like to restore it while it is online so I created a developer version taking advantage of the subdomain "developer." .

Now my problem is that if I activate the theme in the developer version I will be forced to reacquire it to put it on the online site.

Is there a solution?

Hello,
Not sure if this is what you are asking but if you register the theme on a main domain, then you can register it also on subdomains for development features.

Yes, you had reached my question. 

So now i'm gonna activate the theme in the main domain and then in the subdomain with the same key?

Yes, you can do that also for all localhost installations.
