Customize menu

Hi. On the page [Links visible only for registered users] , I want to customize the menu so it can has a backgound like the menu from microsoft (see page : [Links visible only for registered users])

However, I can not find the option in the menu to do so. Could you help me out with this?

sorry but we do not understand, on the microsoft page there is no background begind the menu.
Maybe you could show it on screenshots.

You can use a sidebar and insert menu widgets or just make a column in the muffin builer and insert a list.
