Why are query strings from static resources slowing down the theme site ?

Hello 

I am using this website to check my websites internet speed https://www.pingdom.com/

everything seems to be fine scoring highest marks except for query strings from static resources

Resources with a "?" in the Url are not cached by some proxy caching servers is the given problem for this

I am interested if there is some way to reduce some of those problems

Hi,
you can test our pre-built websites on the splash page:
http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/splash/

They are all fine on pingdom. The loading time of the theme is up to the user because it is not theme related and its mostly up to the hosting/plugins/custom code/ISP
