Fonts are jagged

I noticed this on the Bretheon theme which we've used before. Google fonts appear jagged in chrome and firefox, but smooth in IE. What can be done to get the fonts smooth in all browsers? Is custom fonts the only solution?

    Actually, it's not just Google fonts that show jagged. All fonts do, even System fonts.

    Did you noticed the same behavior on our demo or this just happened on your side? Please make a screenshot of what you mean because we are not sure. So far Chrome did not done anything in this direction and most fonts does not look well in this browser. They probably don't care abut this but this problem is completely not related with coding. The problem is only related with web browser engine which is not able to parse fonts properly.
