How can I change the horizontal distance between menu items? Also how can I change the menu toolbar height?

to change horizontal distance between menu items and increase menu height, please use below css:

#Top_bar .menu > li > a span:not(.description) { padding: 0 15px; }
.menu-highlight.header-stack #Top_bar .menu > li > a { margin: 20px 0; }
