jump to section

Is there a way to have the menu jump to a certain section on a page rather then a whole new page?

For example I have a really long home page. If I wanted to add a link on the menu that goes to that certain section of the home page...how do I do that?

Hi,

First, go to your Appearance > Menus, edit your menu structure by adding them url like

Home -> #Header_wrapper (it must be!)

About -> #About etc.

Contact -> #Contact

Then, go to Pages, find your index(main) page and edit it.

Start to edit each of your sections

You don't have to put there a #Header_wrapper id because it's already set.

But, in the section editor on the bottom you will find a Custom | ID, 

You have to put a id of menu which we were doing earlier.

ID depends what section is it, in my case it's about.

You have to do it for all sections!

At the end, go to bottom of this page and you will find a One Page option, turn it ON

Can I have a mix of a "one page" site and not? 

For example when I am on the contact page, and click home it does not take me there. Do I need to do something else to active the home?

Also, it is not working for the "ScoreBoard" section. I follwed the same exact steps I did for ScoreKeeper. Can you help?

1) You can't have mix of a onepage.

Or you have one page or not (or declare for home, link to main page)

2) ScoreBoard do not have ID declared.
