Reregister Theme from temporary to permanent domain

I've been developing our site using a temporary domain. The site is live and has been switched to our permanent domain, however now I'm unable to update the Theme. I searched the forum and found that I need to deregister the temporary domain and register the permanent one. I found the API http://api.muffingroup.com/licenses/ but that seems to indicate that I should remove all of my theme files, which I don't want to do. 

Please advise how I should proceed.

I should add that I did try and deregister it and got this error message:

Referer domain is different than registered domain. Please contact us using contact form on our Themeforest profile page:
https://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup
