Hi,
unfortunately those icons can't not be changed as are coded into theme files.

not is posible in CUSTOM CSS add by example:

Yes, this is not possible within custom css because those are icons which are hardcoded into files and there is no option to change them. You can replace icons within image as you mentioned above.
