Single menu-item styling

Hi there!

I'm trying to style a certain menu item, I managed to change the colour of one menu-item but am unable to change the hover and visited color of it, without changing it on every other menu-item. I want to just style one menu-item, is this doable?

Hi Ruben,

to do this, you must activate custom css field for menu items, type class name for this menu item and then create css for the item under Theme options > Layout > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section.

This is default wordpress option. While you are under Appearance > Menus section, click on "Screen options" in right top corner and you will see additional options as on http://snag.gy/lDpFC.jpg

Just a need some last bit of help! I created the custom css class for the menu item as you said. But when I'm trying to target the :hover state and "current_page_item" I am unsuccessful. 

How do I target them with the custom css? To change the colour.
