Hello, 

1. Is there a way to custom order these items in the navigation? I did put them in the order I want in the theme, but it looks like they are automatically alphabetized.

2. Can we remove or suppress these dates, or do I need to add a plugin to do so?

Hi,

1) You cannot make it order them as you want, sorry.

All you can do is changing order type in: Theme Options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Portfolio(or blog)

There is a select box which you can select the way of order.

2)Sure, in this same page I provided you in last question, there is Portfolio/Post Meta,

Tick only boxes you want to be shown.
