Open UI Tabs from Menu Link

Im using the tab component via MuffinBuilder on an About page. I need to create menu links that direct to the about page and opens the corresponding tab.  Ive tried using # from the direct link on the menu link but all it does is load the page but does not make the correct tab active.  Ive also done some research on jQuery tabs and tried a few snippets I thought might work but Ive had no success.

Im sure there is a simple way to get this working, but I cannot seem to figure it out.

sorry but this is not possible to do, you would have to wirte custom JS for this to work.
