Songcatalog

Hi,

as a songwriter I would like to offer my music on the web.
I'm looking for a theme that can do the following:

1.) Audiofile and presentation: Instead of a featured image,
I would like to display an audio file in a postpreview. A play button allows
you to play the song without having to open the post.

2.) Song catalog and Taxonomy: I would like to offer a
filter with which several categories can be combined. For example: Show all
songs that meet the following criteria: Popgenre, 120 - 140 beats per minute,
acoustic version, between 2:40 and 2:55 min. The songcatalog may only be
visible with a password / registration.

Thank you for your effort. Greetings from Germany,

Christian

  • Hi,
    1) To make a music player with our theme, go to muffin builder
and create an item named "Visual Editor" then upload music through the 'Add Media'
Then, it will create a music player.

    2) You can make every song as a Portfolio item, and assign them a category with BPM categories,
then turn on the jQuery filtering in Theme Options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Portfolio.

    Thanks.
  • Hello Pablo,

Thank you for your mail. The audio player is not displayed in the grid. Only in the post / portfolio the player is displayed. Is there a possibility as with this template (see post "Raindrop")?

In this example, the player can be played directly in grid mode.

Since I have to create several categories, custom files and taxonomies, I wanted to use the plugin "PODS" (https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/pods/).

    I have the following categories:
    - Pop with 35 subcategories
    - Moods with 56 subcategories
    - Themes with 46 subcategories

I was recommended to use the "Filter & Search Pro" plugin (https://searchandfilter.com/) for this extensive search. Is this plugin compatible with Bethemen?

Best regards and thank you for your help,

    Christian
  • Hi,
Our policy states that we do not support third party plugins or custom code
If you want to use them, you have to fix the issues related with them yourself.

If you have your songs on SoundCloud, you can just embed them.

Just copy the iframe code into Column item.
    Thanks
