Need sidebar help please

I need several pages on a site to have a sidebar. But I am having trouble getting a sidebar to display. If I select a layout with a sidebar the dropdown menu with the sidebar list can't be selected

HI,

please make sure you have created a sidebar in theme options>sidebars and that you populated it with widgets. You will find it in appaerance>widgets.

The sidebar cannot have special characters in the name as well.
