Dashicons not working

Hi there, 

I have the following problem: The dashicons are only showing for logged-in users. I use them in a simple text-icon with codes like in this example:

Could you please help me out?

thanks for your quick response.

After having updated the theme, the code is not there any more. Do I have to edit the functions.php with every update?

Hi,

If you're modifying the theme files, you have to
install Child Theme of BeTheme (it's inside the .zip you downloaded from
theme forest)

A Child Theme prevents from overwriting the code while updating a theme.
