altering the accordian

i'd like to remove the orange left-border/ background line or change to light gray.  i tried a custom css code: .question.active {background-color: #DDD  !important;} but it didnt change so i'm wrong.  here is the url: http://x4p.5e9.myftpupload.com/recruits/
