BeTheme-child usage with pre-built website

I've uploaded, installed and activated the BeTheme-child. I checked to make sure it installed in its own directory, etc.
Question: if I now load a BeTheme pre-built website will it use BeTheme-child to store edits to CSS, etc. or do need to somehow 'point' the pre-built website to it?

Hi,

BeTheme Child is only protecting your modified files (if you configured it well)

All other things will be overwritten/installed.
