WordPress 5.0 - Gutenberg and BeTheme

edited January 2019 in Theme support

BeTheme 20.9.8.3 is fully compatible with WordPress 5.0 and the Gutenberg builder.
Here are the most frequent questions our users ask about the newest WordPress update.

1. Muffin Builder shortcodes.

Items from the Muffin Builder can be pasted as a shortcode in the Gutenberg builder using the shortcode option.
You need to choose the shortcode item from the block editor first, see screenshot: http://prntscr.com/lrupln

If you want to use the default icon dropdown to insert shortcodes, please first add the Classic block into the Gutenberg builder, see screenshots:

You can also install the Classic Editor which is available as a plugin.
To do this, search for "Classic Editor" in the plugins or go to the "About Wordpress" page, where everything is explained. You will find the link to this page under the Wordpress logo in the left top corner of your admin area, see screenshot: http://prntscr.com/lt05ys

2. Plugin compatibility with Gutenberg.

We cannot assure that every plugin will work with the newest version of Wordpress and Gutenberg.
If there are any compatibility issues, please first disable all of your plugins and enable one by one to isolate the problem.
You will have to contact the plugin author about any bugs and wait for an update from them.

If the plugin author does not release an update or it will take some time until they do, please install and activate the Classic Editor plugin for the time being - it should remove any problems related with the Gutenberg builder.
