Hi,

When I choose the "Full Error Message Below Field" option instead of the "Simple X" in the Add ons settings, my forms still display Simple X.

Hi,

Please disable all of the plugins(leave turned on only the CF7 plugin), clear the cache of your browser and check if the issue still exists.

Another question—is there a way to have this theme on a testing website without having to purchase a second license?

If your testing website is on the localhost, then you can use it when license key is registered somewhere live.
