parallax backgrounds

hey guys,

just wondering if there is a template or something that i can use to formulate how to create the artwork for parallax.. alot of time is spent trying to make the images fit and look exactly how i want them to in the parallax. the artwork is either too large or too small then the parallax does a slight zoom.

do you maybe have some tips on how to does these properly? in either illustrator or photoshop?
