Unable to create a page that automatically displays top level categories only

Hello,

I have created posts assigned to different categories and hierarchies. Following this, I created a page to display only a particular category but it is displaying all the items in the subcategories. 

I wish to display only top level categories for the selected category. Can you help?

Hi,

I don't think that's possible.

Only the subcategories of blog can be displayed, not the "upper" categories.

Only way to show the "top level categories" are the breadcrumbs in the Subheader.

Theme Options > Header & Subheader > Subheader
