Update 21.0.4 stripped html from action bar slogan

edited January 2019 in Menu / Mega menu
I have recently updated to 21.0.4. after the update i found that all html functions are being stripped from the slogan. I use the slogan part to link to a login for my user. After the fact i checked the change-log and this states that the bar allows basic html. Pls let me know how i can atleast use <a> tags in the slogan bar. And if its possible pls revert to the previous state with the previous functions

I have disabled the action bar and moved the login button for now.

i used to have the following code in place:

<a id=&quot;search_button&quot; href=&quot;/en/over-ons/contact/&quot;><i class=&quot;icon-search&quot;></i></a> <a href=&quot;/over-ons/contact/&quot;>Contact</a> <a onclick=&quot;if(window.ga) { ga('send', {'hitType':'event','eventCategory':'outbound','eventAction':'application login'}); } window.open('[Links visible only for registered users], '_blank');&quot; style=&quot;cursor:pointer&quot;>Login</a>

  • Hi,
Please update the BeTheme to the 21.0.5 version.
It was a problem from our side and it works now fine.
    Thanks
  • Ok great, thanks for the quick reply.

    Hello,
The similar problem occurred with my website [Links visible only for registered users]

Unfortunately, it wasn't resolved by updating to 21.0.5 version.

    The code is very simple:

Image is ok, i tried this code in the post and it works.
It was working before the updates in slogan without any problems.

I purged the catches with autoptimize plugin.
What else I could do to make it work ? Or the images are not allowed anymore ?

We had to disable a lot of HTML tags in the fields, where the only the text should be.
Due to the new Envato security reasons:
[Links visible only for registered users]

Also, your website looks broken, it probably happened because of your auto-optimizing plugins.
Please disable all of them and clear the cache of your browser
We suggest not to minify the JS files, only the HTML and CSS.
    Thanks
  • Thank you Pablo for the answer!
  • I updated to 21.0.05. and this worked for the a links being back.
One more question, i had a 'on click event' on the login link for analytics purpose. This is still stripped. Is there a way that i can still track this? or maybe a workaround so that the on click does not get stripped?

    Thanks in advance
  • As I can see, everything works fine.
    Did you solve the problem?
    Thanks
  • Thats because i changed it so that it would work. Right now i have this: <a href="/over-ons/contact/">Contact</a> <a href="[Links visible only for registered users]">Login</a>

But i want to change it back to this:
    <a id=&quot;search_button&quot; href=&quot;/en/over-ons/contact/&quot;><i class=&quot;icon-search&quot;></i></a> <a href=&quot;/over-ons/contact/&quot;>Contact</a> <a onclick=&quot;if(window.ga) { ga('send', {'hitType':'event','eventCategory':'outbound','eventAction':'application login'}); } window.open('[Links visible only for registered users], '_blank');&quot; style=&quot;cursor:pointer&quot;>Login</a>

Unfortunatly because of the on-click being stripped the login will not work how i want it to work. do you have a fix, of workarround that i can use?
  • Sorry, but this will not be possible to include.
The JS scripts will not be working there, all of the signs are parsed and even if the code will be okay, the script will not run.

All JS scripts should be inserted in the Theme Options > Custom CSS & JS > JS
    Thanks
