How to Change Page Slug

Hi,

When I create pages in the editor I enter my desired slug e.g. example.com/about

However, it still displays as example.com/?page_id=9

The URL I am using is http://monkstown.ie/?page_id=9

Despite editing this in the dashboard it does not change. Can you help please?
