How can we use custom in-line icons instead of the font awesome one?

we got this feature in plans but at this moment you can only use already pre-defined icons available on http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/shortcodes/typography#icons

We do not know any time frame because currently we work on some more important features but this takes time and we are not sure how long exactly.
