Portfolios and Breadcrumbs

Hi there!

I have a question regarding portfolios & breadcrumbs. I have two portfolio categories in my website, and two pages where I display them. This is one of the pages: [Links visible only for registered users]

When I click on a portfolio-item, for example: "SMA Inverters" it takes me to the portfolio-item page as it should: [Links visible only for registered users]

SO far so good, but if I want to click on the breadcrumbs above to go back to the page that I came from it is impossible. Clicking on the 'solar Inverter Brands' breadcrumbs taking me to the portfolio-type page where I don't want my customers to go: [Links visible only for registered users]

What the way to go about it? how can I get the breadcrumbs to take me back to the original page?

Hey,

you always have to declare the main portfolio page, the same with blog.

Please set the main portfolio page and edit it to enable the portfolio template, [Links visible only for registered users]

Also go to theme options>blog,portfolio &shop>portfolio and set the portfolio page.

It works with one portfolio page...but what if I have two?

I have one for solar panels here: [Links visible only for registered users]

(which is fine now after I followed your instruction)

But I also have a page for Solar Inverters here:  [Links visible only for registered users]

which is for different products and need to be in another page. How would you suggest to go about it?

You cannot use the portfolio or blog custom post type without declaring the main portfolio page. This has to be set.

You cannot use two different portfolio pages to display the same custom post type.

We suggest you create a main portfolio page and then just link people to the category pages ( solar panels, solar inverters)
