The LinkedIn and Twitter share links at the bottom of our blog posts are broken?? But the Facebook, Google, and Pinterest share links work fine?

  • Hey,
something must have changed. We will tak a look into this and let you know.
    thanks
  • Can you please give me an ETA? Our site is live and we have a huge announcement on Monday, April 1st. I really can't have these broken and I don't want to turn them off.

    Thanks for your help
  • We tested in on our servers and it works fine. If this does not work for you, we suggest disabling all of your plugins. In most of the cases, one of the plugins is causing a malfunction of the share option.
    thanks
  • Ok, I disabled all plugins and it still doesn't work. A plugin conflict wouldn't explain why some of the links work and some don't.

    Pinterest and Facebook work fine.

    Please advise.
  • Hey,

Please send us WordPress dashboard access privately thru the contact form which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason.

    Notice!
Please attach a link to this forum discussion.

    Thanks
  • Ok, I will send access, but please do not do anything that changes the front-end appearance of the website. This is a live site with many eyes on it in multiple time zones around the globe. If you change something and someone notices it I may get fired.

I've already turned plugins off and on while looking at Google analytics to ensure no one was on the site in real-time.

Note: I am using a child theme with a custom main.js and functions.php file that is registering some custom post types among other things.

  • The problem was related with the separator of the post title and site name, and it was the " | " sign which was set in the Yoast SEO.

I changed it to "-" and everything works fine.
We'll fix that behavior in the next update of betheme.

For now, leave it with the "-" sign
    Thanks
