How to make a slide link open in a light box

I am trying to get my slide links to open in a lightbox so people can look at the image larger how would I do this?

I am talking about the section for the upcoming events and those events sliders

Hey,

when you add slides in your Wordpress backend you will see that there are fileds to fill in the URL of the image and a dropdown to chose lightbox:
