Spacing Between Masony Gallery Images Missing

edited April 2019 in Theme Options
Trying to get masonry gallery to look like your example on https://themes.muffingroup.com/be/theme/pages/gallery (last one on page). I used the option for "gallery" and all my images are right up against each other lacking space. Short code on your sample page says
[gallery size="full" link="file" ids="274,323,324,288,326,296" style="masonry"]

But how do I get the image IDs? I used the option in muffin builder to insert the gallery and went from there.

  • Hi,
Click on some image in Media > Library.
When "Attachment Details" will appear, the ID will be displayed in the URL of that image.
    See screen:

    There you will find it.
    Thanks
  • Thank you. I used the short code
[gallery size="full" link="file" ids="274,323,324,288,326,296" style="masonry"] with the image numbers but they are still all smushed together without any kind of spacing between them as shown on https://themes.muffingroup.com/be/theme/pages/gallery.
  • Additionally I I'm trying a different gallery on http://bar.sleepinggc.com/fiber/ and http://bar.sleepinggc.com/fiber/. I got these to all line up nice and tidy except they were very low resolution and blurry. I changed the code to indicate image size small, medium, large, even tried 300x300 but now they all appear in a scattered mess. How do I get them to appear higher res and crop square or rectangular so they are all the same size?

When the lightbox opens need to limit the size of the full photo so the user can still get back (cannot see the "X" to click because photo is so large).
  • It's not possible to set the zoomed image and normal image the same resolution(size), but you can increase the quality of that image (when it's not zoomed)

To change the size of the default WordPress gallery images, please go to settings>media.
    Notice!
Remember to use thumbnail regeneration after you make your changes. Otherwise, the images will not change their size.

    thanks
