Can't save any changes on my pages and posts

Hi!

Im having this problem: everytime I saved changes it never worked, I also install a backup from a month ago but the same problem.

I installed the classic editor and the error 404 is displayed everytime I save something.

I contact the hosting provider and they couldn't help me, they sayd that I should delete and re install the theme but i dont know if thats gonna kill my web design.

Hi,

As I see, your theme is not up to date - please update it first.

Also, you can reinstall your theme, it will not affect your content or theme options because they are stored in the database, not in the files of the theme.

If you want to be 100% sure, please make the backup with this plugin first:

Ok, now its update with the envato market plugin. But still not working. How can I reinstall the theme without loosing any of my web design and config?

You will not loose any data because it is all held in the database. You can remove the theme folder from your FTP and install a new one from your wordpress dashboard.

This is ofcourse for a standard instllation, if you made any changes to the theme, or the database is corrupted, we suggest you first make a backup. You can use the duplicator plugin Pablo mentioned above.

Ok, so I delete the theme folder from FTP and install a new one I downloaded today from the Wordpress Dashboard, the installation worked, but CHANGES ARE NOT SAVED. 

I have installed the classic editor and everytime I save changes it goes to ERROR 404 page not found, if I activate the new editor of wordpress 5 when I click save changes it never loads and changes didnt happened.

PLEASE HELP ME!
