How can I reduce the spacing between the logo and menu items as shown on this image?

Hi,

You can change that spacing in the Theme Optionz > Global > General

Decrease the "Grid Width" value

Is there an alternative? I dont like that it also makes the rest of the websites spacing smaller.

Unfortunately not.

Spacing of that element is calculating by javascript to be always responsive.

I suggest not to change it with the CSS, because it can make problems with, as I said, responsiveness.

Of course, you can make the sections of the website "Full Width", so it will not be limited by this "Grid Width" options.
