Did you set the main blog post in Settings > Reading ?

Please go to theme options>sidebars and create a blog sidebar first. You are pasting widgets into a category sidebar.

Then go to appaerance>widgets and fill the created sidebar width widgets.

Then edit the main blog page and set this sidebar in the page options.
