Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_theme_file_path()

I just took over this account for a client who is using betheme and a very outdated version. Before I updated I tried to find somewhere to put the key unsuccessfully. I updated the theme and the site fell over with this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_theme_file_path() in /home/vantagenj/public_html/wp-content/themes/betheme/functions.php on line 37

Can you advise as to how to fix this please?

Hello,

please make sure you are using the parent theme and that your PHP version is 7.0 or greater.

hey thanks. I fixed it but I unintalled the test site and tried to activate the key to the live site but it is still telling me it's attached to here: everclear.jerseygirlscreative.com.  this has been uninstalled. Can you reset the key so I can move it over? Thanks

if you removed betheme from that old domain, please use this tool to deregister manually:
