Featured image not showing when sharing posts on WhatsApp

Hi there,

I am using BeTheme for two of my websites. However, when I share a post page from these sites on WhatsApp using the mobile browser "Share" function, one of the sites is not showing the feature image together with the URL while the other one does. Can you please advise why the featured image is not showing and how I can make it always show?

Did you provide the "Open Graph Image" in the SEO settings?

Hi Pablo, thanks for your reply.

No, I did not provide the "Open Graph Image" in the SEO settings for both the sites. So, the setting is consistent across the sites.

However, one of them [health-bay.com] is rightly showing the featured image of the post when I share it but the other one isn't [amuara.com]. 

Thanks to advise what else I can do to make the images show when I share the URL on WhatsApp.

If you didn't provide the image for open graph on both sites, then probably you inserted it while creating the single post (http://prntscr.com/nnwbxu) or by other seo tool (Do you use Yoast SEO ?)

We strongly suggest, to upload the image to preview through the Theme Options > SEO

It's the only correct way to display that image.

Yes I am currently using Yoast SEO. However, I have checked both sites that I did not insert any images for open graph in the single post.

In any case, I have inserted an image now for open graph under Theme Option > SEO and also on the post itself but I am still not seeing any image preview when sharing links on WhatsApp (even after refreshing the web page). Not sure why, perhaps it takes time before the preview shows?

As can I see, now it's working fine - after inserting that image in Theme Options > SEO

Remember, that if you're using the Yoast SEO, then you should disable our SEO options

But, you will have to configure the Yoast SEO by yourself, because we help only with the problems of theme.

If you don't know how to do it, we strongly suggest to use our basic SEO options.

Hi Pablo, for some reason, I still cannot see the preview image when I share the URL on WhatsApp. Not sure why you can see it but not me

The theme's SEO option was always disabled in my case.

Give it some time or test it on another device.

I tested it on my phone and it displayed the image while sending the https://amuara.com

Hi Pablo, I cleared the cache and tried on another device but still no luck on my end. If possible, can you please send me a screen shot of what you see when you share the URL now? Thanks!

Thanks Pablo. I see that it's working for me when sharing on Facebook Messenger but still not working on Whatsapp somehow. Perhaps it has to do with plugins conflict. I will keep trying... Appreciate all the help!
