Images are loaded twice

We have WPML in use for our website. There is a German and an English language version. When a page is called, all images are loaded twice. Once with "... /" and once with "/?lang=en". This doubles the time needed for loading. What could that be? We suspect a problem with the BeTheme.

Please always attach a link so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost) then our help will be limited, you will have to contact us when the page is online. Also please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us the link.

Can you show me on screenshot which images do you have in mind?

I do not see on German and English language twice loaded images.

Wenn you test the url "https://kaffee-ferro.de/shop/" with Pingdom (https://tools.pingdom.com/) and sort all file requests by Response Body Size, you can see that all images were loaded twice. 
I'm sry, I can't describe it in a better way.

I think that the problem is related to pingdom software.

I've check it with DevTools of Firefox and images are not loading twice, see here:

It could be problem of minifying plugins too, it's not a good idea to use them when your website is still under development.
