Theme is registered to the Domain Reference and not the Domain

Hi, 

I have been recently working on a website for a client and found it a bit strange that the theme wasn't updating. i updated the PHP to be 7.3.4 thinking it could have possibly been the cause of the issue but that wasn't it. 

I fear I might have been a bit of a fool and not updating the domain that the theme was registered too, thinking after connecting the DNS to the IP of the host I'm using would automatically update. As well as updating the URL of the site through WordPress. 

Is there anyway around this without losing everything by deregistering the theme to reinstall it with the new domain?

Hi Pablo! 

Thanks for your reply and apologies in my slow response!

So I'm looking at the http://api.muffingroup.com/licenses/ site and looking at the deregistering of the theme.

It recommends to delete all of the theme files before deregistering. As I'm just looking to reregister the theme with the updated URL of the same site, could I in theory just quickly just deregister then reregister the theme whilst it's installed on the site? 

I will use the duplicator plug-in to make sure the site has been backed up just in case.

Yes, deregistering and registering it even through the dashboard should do the job.
