Larger Logo and Margin Issues

On our website, we are using a logo that is larger than 60px height as the website suggests. It is causing an issue in a few places. I thought it was as simple as me adjusting page margins in the CSS, but I have not been able to figure it out. 

First on http://akaomicronomega.com/events/, I need the margins to drop beneath the logo. 

Second on http://akaomicronomega.com/news/, I need the margins to drop as well. 

Please help.

Hi,

Please go to the Theme Option > Header & Subheader > Header and change the "Minimalist" option to "Minimalist ON"
