Header and Footer: different on one site

Hello, I would like to have another Header and another footer at the "Homepage". The Header should be transparent and the footer doesn`t Need to Show up. Ho can I create it? Thank you in advannce and greetz from Germany, Julia

Yes, it's possible, but you can change only the header style, not the footer.

To attach it on certain page, just edit that page and you'll notice the select box with option to select different layout.
