Best way to get a column's background color over the full width of a page?

Hello,

I'm working with the latest version of WP and the BeTheme.

I'm working on the site to make it look like a design. 

This is how I'd like it to look. The text centered and the column with the background color spanding the whole width of my page.

So in the builder I added a column, scale 1/1. With back-ground color and then I put the "size" on cover. 

But this is how it looks, I can't get it full width. I'm I doing something the wrong way? The section where I added it in has as 'style' full cover.

Hello,

You have to enable the "Full Width" option in section settings first.

Then, apply additional padding in your column item.
