Muffin Builder collapse - sections gone missing

I have been using BeTheme on multiple websites for clients over the past year and loved it until experiencing a problem with (it seems) the muffin builder not being able to 'handle' the content and entire sections go 'missing'.  I have made sure that the server limits are adequate so the problem is not related to those settings.  In order to resolve the problem on one project I built some sections with muffin and some with WP Bakery and by separating the load it seems to be able to support all the content.  This is not an ideal fix for me because it means my clients have to learn the 2 different builders.  Any thoughts on what's going on here?  I sadly won't be able to continue using BeTheme for future projects if this is going to be an ongoing problem.  Thanks.

  • Hi,

Please provide us with your hosting environment settings, to do that please follow these steps:
    1) Go to the Wordpress > Tools > Site Health http://prntscr.com/nlyb22
    2) Click at the “Info” on the top of the page and open the “Server” tab http://prntscr.com/nlybm2
    3) Take a screenshot of the content inside that ‘Server’ tab http://prntscr.com/nlybyr
Please make sure you are using Wordpress 5.2 or later, previous versions did not have this option built in.

Please use snag.gy or pasteboard.co to host the screenshot and send us the link to it.

    Thanks

  • Thank you.  Private message sent!
  • I created the clone of your home page and I do not see the issue, I can add a lot of sections and it's not disappearing.
But, I've noticed that on homepage, you're missing the quatotation mark after the link in "a" tag

It could make such problems while updating.
Please, tell me, does this issue appear on certain page all of the time?
    Thanks
  • Thank you.  I fixed the quotation mark that you mentioned.
I had 3 sections for "team", "news" and "connect" that disappeared.  Do you think my best bet is to just rebuild these sections or maybe try and go back to a backup?
I understand that you've had success adding sections but I am worried about taking the time to do it and then losing my work again.
I have only noticed the problem happening at the bottom of a relatively long, scrolling homepage with several anchor tagged sections.  I have not noticed anything missing from any other pages so far.
    Thanks for the advice.

  • Your PHP_Max_Input_Vars value is really big, so it shouldn't make problem with disappearing content.
It's usually making that problem when Max_Input_Vars value is 1000 or less than 5000.

I've got a question for you, how long your pages were? If you would recreate one of them it would be greateful. I could check if is there any possibility if that value somehow could get crossed.
Remember to make a backup to avoid data loss - also, it will be better for me, I will be able to make further investigation without any fear about losing your settings or content.

    Thanks

Hi there, I now also have that same problem, the muffin builder is not missing sections but the whole builder section is gone on all pages. On the posts it is working well and the website can be seen, but I can't edit the pages. What could cause the problem? I'm sorry this is not the ideal discusson but deleting the comment was not possible. Thanks a lot!
  • eoXbURag,
Please disable all of the plugins, clear the cache
of your browser and check, if the issue still exists with all of the
    plugins disabled.
    thanks
  • Thanks for the response, no it it still gone, also with another browser it didn't work with the plugins deactiveted.

  • I can see the Muffin Builder properly, did you solve the problem?

    thanks
  • Ah no, but I found it is somehow moved into in the very right row under the document section, I didn't notice that. Is there a way to get it back? It seems it doen't work with drag and drop or the arrows up and down. Probably a relatively easy question, I'm sorry for that...
  • Unfortunately, WP 5.5 disabled option to move it near the gutenberg editor.
We are currently working to workaround it in some way :(

    thanks
  • Ahh, I understand. Alright, thanks for your efforts!
  • Hi,
I guess I have a similar problem. I can see the muffin builder but there is no sections in it. All the contents are dissappeared. No problem for creating a new section with muffin builder but I also want to see the existing sections for pages. Waiting for your support.
  • kogofingo,
Can you disable all of the plugins and check, if the issue still exists?
    thanks
  • Hi Pablo,

I disabled all the plugins and checked, the issue still exists.

    Hi pablo,

I sent a message including my login info.

    Thx.

But I could not understand what you mean by saying 'Notice! Please attach a link to this forum discussion. '

If you asked for my page address here it is :http://207.055.myftpupload.com/
  • You did not built anything with BeTheme yet, and the Muffin Builder is on the page:

I do not understand the problem at all right now.
    thanks
  • Hi Pablo,

When I first tried to edit an existing page I used to see the contents on Muffin Builder. Then something happened and all the contents dissappered.

I want to see sections for the existing contents on a default page. it makes easier for me to build my own page.
  • Hi Pablo,

What I want to say is why cant I see the existing sections in muffin builder when I select a version and start to editing default pages.

I can see the builder but I cant see the pre-build sections which are already existing for that pages.
  • If it disappeared, then it won't be available to receive, you would have to ask your hosting provider for a backup from the days that content was available.
But, Muffin Builder does not remove anything by itself.

Also, to prevent, lets check your hosting settings.

Please use snag.gy or pasteboard.co to host the screenshot and send us the link to it.
    Thanks
  • when I go to select a new pre-built page, for example BARMAN 2, I can see the sections in muffin builder (ss https://pasteboard.co/Jo9HwOe.jpg)

then I go to select another, which I want to built my site based on, BECOURSE 2, with reseting the database, and I see nothing in muffin builder (ss https://pasteboard.co/Jo9IOPD.jpg)

    is this normal??
  • BeCourse 2 is built with the Elementor builder, not with the Muffin Builder so you won't be able to edit it using Muffin Builder.

You can see, which demo is built with elementor by icon near it:

    thanks
  • Hi Pablo,

I sent the ss from BeCourse 2 demo, you can see muffin builder sections and when I want to edit I see that I am able to.

I want to use muffin builder not the elementor builder.
  • Then, you have to install another pre-built website, because this one is made for elementor plugin only.
We do not created this pre-built website for other page builder :(

There is no way to migrate the page between builders, the way how they build the website is very different and there is no tool to do that.
    Thanks
