I just can't figure out how to align these 2 elements to the top.

i always have the green marked gap.

You should use Equal Height of Wraps.

The equal height of wraps is used to position elements on: top, middle or bottom in wraps. In order to achieve this you need to:
1. Edit your page, and go to the muffin builder. Edit a section and under the advanced>style select 'equal height of wraps'. See screens:

2. Now edit each wrap in that section and set the desired vertical align(top, middle or bottom). See screens:

Thank you. Finally got it. Even though I had to change a couple of css values.

Sorry. One question remains.

Now that I found the problem why they were not aligned properly I removed the backgroundcolor of the section (green) .

But now I need to remove the bottom padding (see screen)

.mcb-wrap-inner .column {
 margin: 0 1% 0px;
}

removes not only this padding .... of course.

I propably could use the unique ID "mcb-item-2d21a1c14" but I would be looking for a more elegant solution.

Did you remove the "Bottom" margin of column?
