Hide author archive from Google search results?

My client just notified me that the registered users' names are showing up in Google search results. This is a product website, and we don't use archives. And, we don't want to show any author archives, either. How can I block Google from indexing the authors?

You would have to edit the directory listing in the htaccess file, there is way to do that with betheme.
