how can i get rid of the banner/header please:

it's the background banner at the top i'd like to know how to get rid of please.

It's an background image of a "Header"

You can find it in the Theme Options > Header & Subheader > Header

If you will delete the header, then you will not have a menu on your website.

I wanted to suggest to disable the subheader - but already you did it.

Theme Options > Header & Subheader > Subheader
