Add sidebar to blog index page as homepage

Hi, I want to make the blog listing (index) my homepage but I cannot find where I can add a sidebar, there seems to be no setting for this.

if you want to show blog items on homepage, then you must use "Blog" item on homepage and setup sidebar for homepage as it was explained on http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/10/how-to-create-sidebar-and-set-up-for-page
