Malware in functions.php

Hi,

I've received an email from the hosting reseller because there's a malware in the functions.php file.

I'm running the 21.1.1.1 Be Theme version but if I try to Update with the button (https://prnt.sc/pwzmlg) I get an "already updated" message (https://prnt.sc/pwzn1b) and the theme doesn't update.

How can I solve it?

Hello,

Our theme by the default does not have any malware or malicious code inside.

Probably, one of your plugins is infecting other files.

Did you try to disable all of the plugins, clear the cache of the browser and then try to update your theme?

Ok, I can try. But I can't update the theme. This is another problem as I described in my previous message.
How can I solve it?

Before you do something, please make a backup with this plugin first:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

So, connect through the FTP and remove the theme folder from wp-content/themes.

After that, go to the themeforest and download the latest package of the theme and paste the new theme there.

You will not lose any of the theme options or content because they are stored in the database.
